The Humane Society of the Upper Valley says today that they are investigating a possible case of animal abuse in Jefferson county.
According to Andi Elliott, President of the Upper Valley Humane Society, they have filed charges against a Jefferson county man who kept two dogs at his home...under fed and poorly kept.
The humane society says they took custody of an 11 year old gordon setter that weighed just 48 pounds today. They usually weight between eighty to one hundred pounds.
The owner hasn't appeared in court, his name is being withheld until that time and when he is given an opportunity to respond.
Elliot says Jefferson county doesn't have adequate animal cruelty laws and wants voters to ask the Jefferson County Commissioners for stricter laws. References « More cases in Jefferson County, ID
