During May 2007, the volunteers from Animales Sin Fronteras Colectivo Animal found 7 of their beloved dogs either dead or agonizing due to poisoning. Twenty other dogs are still missing despite the efforts of the police and the volunteers who have patrolled the area around the shelter.

Several demonstrations have taken place to ask for a better settling for the animals and to demand harsh punishment if the abusers are arrested.

There have been a lot of support from the public opinion and the media.
There is a reward of 1000e leading to the arrest of suspects.

Queremos denunciar el envenenamiento masivo de perros en el refugio de la Picara�a en Ponteareas.



Hace alg�n tiempo, empezaron a faltar animales poco a poco, pero no sospech�bamos semejante tortura. Estos dias, han aparecido cinco perros muertos por envenenamiento, y han desaparecido mas de veinte, sospechamos, por las mismas circunstancias.



No sabemos qui�n puede estar haciendo �ste exterminio, aunque lo suponemos, y queremos decirles, que el responsable es el ayuntamiento, porque mientras �ste no ceda un terreno para hacer el nuevo refugio, nos quedaremos aqu�, luchando con todas nuestras fuerzas, como venimos haciendo hace muchos a�os, para que as� sea, y que ya pueden seguir con sus artima�as rastreras y cobardes el resto de sus miserables vidas, que all� siempre llegar�n perros nuevos, porque, por desgracia, el ser humano no s�lo los asesina, sino que tambi�n los abandona, y ser�a muy complicado decir cu�l de �stos actos es el mas cruel.

Y que quede claro, que si estamos aqu� es porque la gente abandona a los animales, y porque el ayuntamiento no atiende a sus obligaciones con la protectora, ya que tiene que cumplir con las leyes de los animales y no lo est� haciendo.

Recordarles tambi�n, que las leyes de los animales, ahora mas que nunca, est�n vigentes, y asesinar a cualquier animal est� penado con multas muy severas e incluso prisi�n. De ahora en adelante, los voluntarios nos turnaremos para vigilar el refugio d�a y noche, y grabaremos todo lo que veamos, y llevaremos todo delante de un juez hasta el final, para que los culpables paguen por lo que han hecho, e intentaremos por todos los medios econ�micos y de voluntad, que el castigo sea el mas severo.

Se trata de perros con nombres: Frida, Blas...., perros que esperaban ser adoptados, animales de gran coraz�n y honor, de los que muchos han ido a morir cerca de sus camas, con sus compa�eros de viaje al cielo.

Asi pu�s, queremos que todo el mundo sepa de �ste acto tan vil y cobarde hacia unos animales indefensos, que lo �nico que han hecho es dar cari�o y lealtad a todos los que los cuid�bamos desde el d�a en que los echaron a la carretera. Ahora est�n muertos, y ya no podr�n volver, pero por ellos, y por los que quedan, seguiremos luchando hasta el final, le pese a qui�n le pese. SIEMPRE.
