Person of Interest: LeShon Johnson

LeShon Johnson, a former resident of Haskell and Skiatook who played professional football in the 1990s for the New York Giants, was reportedly charged with dog-fighting.

According to the Osage County Sheriff's Office, Johnson was arrested in February 2000 for dog-fighting at his home near Skiatook Lake.

According to court records, Osage County District Attorney Larry Stuart deferred prosecution against Johnson on the condition that he get rid of his dogs and stay away from dogfights.

Leshon Johnson was again arrested on dog-fighting charges in Osage County in February 2003.
