Sioux Falls police are investigating a dog shooting. On the night of Dec 3, a 37-year-old woman let her two dogs out of her apartment near Dunham Park. Minutes later, she opened the door to let them in and heard a loud "pop". Her poodle was hit in the side with a pellet and later died at the animal hospital.

Police aren't sure whether the shot was fired from the park or someone in the apartment building. If you have any information on the shooting you are asked to call police.
