Case Report

Thirty-year-old Timothy Child has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty for wrapping duct tape around the mouth of his Labrador retriever. According to court documents,  an animal control officer  took the dog November 23rd after she saw its body tightly bound in cable and with duct tape wrapped around its muzzle. The owner had tied the dog outside with a thin, vinyl covered cable that he bought because he thought that would be better for the dog than locking him in a kennel. The puppy was prone to chewing, and the owner was frustrated to the point of putting duct tape over its mouth.
