Alleged: Clint Dickerson

A man is in jail for animal abuse in Vinton County, OH.

According to a news release issued by the Vinton County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Clint Dickerson of Creola was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, cruelty to animals, and injury to animals.

Dickerson was arrested after police conducted an investigation on Dickerson, in which he beat a dog, that was chained to a tree, with a baseball bat on Thursday, April 17.

Police say the dog was taken to a vet to be checked. It's condition is not yet known.

Dickerson was taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, in which a bond hearing through video arraignment will be held Tuesday, April 22.
