Sentence: A Culpeper woman was recently sentenced to 15 days in jail on animal cruelty charges after three dogs in her care were left for two weeks with inadequate food and water.
As part of a plea agreement entered March 7 in Culpeper County Circuit Court, Bonnie Lee Compton-Beauchamp, 49, was fined $300, placed on one year of supervised probation and forbidden to own a pet for three years.
She also must continue with mental health treatments she had been receiving from the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and perform 150 hours of community service.... more... |
