Convicted: More Than 100 Cats Removed

Sentence: Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson Lucy Caldwell said Kaufer and Burns were ordered to pay full restitution and will have unannounced inspections for 24 months. Both women were allowed to have the two cats they requested returned to them. Following the decision, Kaufer and Burns were issued summons for cruelty to animals and having unsanitary conditions.
