Sentence: Eric John Wenderski sentenced to three years of probation in a plea deal that included a ban on owning or keeping animals.

Eric Wenderski, 36, also are subject to spot inspections by the probation department and animal welfare organizations.

Eric Wenderski also was ordered to spend the first six months in jail, but Wayne County Circuit Judge James Chylinski said he could serve it as house arrest with a tether because of health conditions.

$4,711 restitution to the Taylor Animal Shelter.
