Sentence: Terry Painter, 62, of North Huntingdon, was convicted of five charges of animal cruelty on Monday Aug 18. He was sentenced to two 30-day jail terms, fined $2,800 and ordered to pay $9,075 in restitution.
Earlier, Painter was found guilty of a dozen counts. In other cases, he was acquitted or the prosecution withdrew counts.
In all, Painter must pay more than $25,000 in fines and restitution, but he will be able to keep six of the two dozen horses that were seized and eventually returned to his farm earlier this year.... more... |
