Sentence: He initially pleaded not guilty to the charge in Municipal Court, but on July 3, 2007 was convicted, fined $75, ordered to make an $80 contribution to the Humane Society and pay a $61 veterinary bill. In addition, he was placed on 12 months’ probation and ordered to complete a mandatory six-weeks’ obedience training course for him and the dog.
Magistrate Paul Gordon also awarded the dog back to the owner at sentencing. And upon leaving court, the man immediately picked up the dog at the county dog pound where it was being held.... more... |
