A SWAT team converged on a Delaware County home suspected in a multi-county drug ring on Nov 3.
Bags of evidence were removed from the home on Weatherburn Drive in Powell, and investigators said they believe the case involves Ecstasy, methamphetamine and other drugs.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, bags of evidence were seized from the home of 28-year-old Jerome Edwards.
Authorities said Edwards was at home when the bust began, as members of the Delaware County drug task force shot knee-knockers through the windows before entering.
Edwards was charged with selling Ecstasy pills to undercover deputies in February, Burton reported.
At total of seven people were arrested in raids at five other locations, including four Columbus homes and one in Fairfield County, police said.
Sheriff's deputies said they seized $40,000 in cash, 10 ounces of meth and 10 to 15 weapons.
Neighbors in the area said they had suspicions but were still surprised.
"I saw like 10 cars up and down this street and an ambulance," a neighbor said.
Edwards is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail.
The following people were also arrested:
Shannon Gilley, 34, of Dublin, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and animal cruelty
Leticia Martinez, 36, of Columbus, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs.
Adam Connelly, 33, of Columbus, was charged with cultivating marijuana. Tia Pauley, of Columbus, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs.
Tyler Hill, 33, of Pickerington, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs.
Officials said they believe the alleged drug operation that spanned three counties could reach beyond the country's borders. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
