Arrests were madewhen officers serving a search warrant on a drug case near Castleberry recovered a videotape depicting four individuals at a dogfight, Hawsey said. At the time the videotape was found, four pit bulls were tied to trees behind the residence, but authorities didn't realize dog fighting was involved.

"We could identify the individuals once we saw what was on the tape," Hawsey said. "When we returned to the residence, the dogs were gone."

Officers arrested Curtis Wiley, 34, Rickey Samuel, 28, and Wanda Lyons, age unavailable, in connection with the dogfights and charged them with animal cruelty. Wiley and Samuel were released on bond, Hawsey said, and Lyons remained in jail on drug charges. Hawsey said a fourth man is being sought in connection with the videotaped fights.

"The fights are very violent, but the thing that was more bothersome was there were small children roaming around on the videos, urging the dogs on, taking part," Hawsey said. "We are hoping further arrests are forthcoming."
