More reward money is being offered for tips that may lead to an arrest in an animal cruelty case in Olathe, Kan. The Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline said the reward fund now stands at $1,500.
Police said a man who lives in the 2400 block of West 144th Terrace discovered his cat, Sphinx, had been severely injured on Sept. 24. After taking the cat to the veterinarian, the man learned that someone had cut the cat and removed a portion of its skin.
Animal cruelty is a felony crime in Kansas. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
