Two dogs that wandered away from the property of Larry D. Sebastian, King Pen Road, Nottingham, were shot in the back at close range, Lancaster state police Trooper Kevin S. Edmunds said.
The dogs were a 15-year-old male German shepherd and a 5-year-old beagle, Sebastian's wife said. The shooter or shooters dumped the carcasses into a ditch along King Pen Road, north of Brown Road, which is about 1.5 miles from the Sebastian home.
The dogs were found at about 6 p.m. on Oct 15. The suspect or suspects are being sought for cruelty to animals. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Edmunds at 299-7650. References« PA State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Lancaster County, PA
