County Court Judge Thomas Bevis has tossed out nearly all of the evidence gathered against an Orange City woman charged wtih 41 counts of a misdemeanor animal neglect.

Law enforcement and animal control officers removed 36 feral cats from Redman's Cypress Avenue home.

They found 4 sickly dogs inside the house as  well.  All the cats and 2 of the dogs were euthanized at an animal shelter.

The house was infested with rats, the floors were covered in animal feces and there was very little food available for the animals.

Redman's attorney argued that all the evidence was gathered without a search warrant.

The judge agreed that there was ample time to obtain a search warrant.
