Tyrone Preston, 43, of 1101 Paul Fredrick St. in Boutte was arrested on Sept. 29, 2006, on Hwy 90 in Luling and charged with cruelty to animals.

Preston brought his dog to the animal shelter as an owner surrender, but after a veterinarian examination he was arrested for animal cruelty.
