Killing kittens, drinking their blood
Phoenix, AZ (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Dec 31, 1994
County: Maricopa

Disposition: Failed to Appear

Person of Interest: Jason (last name unknown)

This white male, known as Jason has mutilated hundreds of cats over a 4-year period in the Phoenix Arizona area. The police believe he is a leader of a coven of devil-worshipers and were closing in on him until he gave them the slip.

He is a white male, six feet tall, 180 lbs with long black hair. He dresses in black gothic-style clothing, has blue eyes and is blind in the left eye. He wears dark glasses, even at night.

The suspect likes to hold the cats down, slash them open, drain their blood into a chalice and remove their hearts. Then his cult members (ages 14 to 35) drank the cat's blood and ate the heart. Then they would dump the mutilated pets where the distraught owners would find them. The cult consisted of six members, including two girls.

In November 1999, Ryan Laughlin then age 17 admitted to being a member of this cult and witnessed the cat killings.

At first the Arizona Humane Society believed that wild animals slaughtered these cats but after the autopsies they determined the cats died at the hands of a human being.
