Owner Mitchell Parker discovered what had happened to his horses when he went to feed them. One horse had been shot with an arrow that passed completely through the horses hip area, and the second horse had a severe injury to it's neck.
Authorites found a large hunting knife in the field. It had U-S-M-C stamped on it and it was covered in blood.
Detective Landon Bellamy/Sullivan County Sheriff's Department:
"It is very obvious this was not an accident, and if someone who do this to an innocent animal...two horses just grazing in a pasture...i feel they would do this to a human."
