Hoarding 15 dogs
Forest Township, MI (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Aug 19, 2006
County: Genesee

Disposition: Not Charged

Person of Interest: woman

Genesee County Animal Control seized about 15 dogs from an elderly Forest Township woman Aug 19 after state police determined she could not care for them.

State police, who responded to an animal cruelty complaint, said the woman, who has physical disabilities, would not be charged with a crime because her husband, who was responsible for the kennel, was no longer there. State police would not elaborate further.

The facility is located on E. Frances Road, state police said.
