A boy is being held in the juvenile detention center in Johnson City after he was accused of stabbing a goat on Warriors Lane Sunday, according to the Carter County Sheriff's Department.  The name of the boy has not been released.  A report said the goat had a large cut on its back and several stab wounds on its body.  Its throat had been cut and its left eye had been stabbed.

Neighbors also complained to a deputy of vandalisms and burglaries committed by the boy.  One victim complained that his outbuilding had been entered and wood stain thrown on his tools and floor.  He said a truck had been spray painted on the driver's side.  The words "KKK White Power" had been painted on the sides and doors of several buildings in the neighborhood, the report said.  Another neighbor complained to the deputy that her wooden cabinet and the back storm door of her residence had been spray painted.

The boy reportedly has had previous offenses, including the burning of a doghouse after removing the dog.

Juvenile Officer Mike Woods said Tuesday that charges will be placed after officers confer with the district attorney general's office.
