A neighbor in South Buffalo directed animal control officers to a disturbing case of animal cruelty. A neighbor reported some abandoned animals in a house on Geary Street on the night of July 20.

Inside they found two puppies locked in a 90 degree bathroom with no food or water.

They're believed to have been in there for a week or more.

Investigators are now working to track down the owners.

Officials say the puppies will go up for adoption after a vet looks them over.
