Fayetteville, NC (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, Jul 18, 2006
County: Cumberland

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

A man believed to be stalking a woman in the Braxton Gardens neighborhood has "upped the ante," according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Lawmen believe the man may have poisoned two of the woman's dogs and thrown acid on a third, said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office.

Two of the dogs had to be euthanized, Tanna said.

"He's upped the ante," she said.

The man has repeatedly harassed the woman by driving by and stopping in front of her residence.

The woman believes the man is trying to intimidate her into dropping charges against another suspect in a previous sexual assault case, Tanna said.

Lawmen want to question the stalking suspect, who was last seen driving a white, four-door Cadillac.

He is described as a black male, medium complexion with a slight muscular build. He is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30 and weighs about 210 to 220 pounds.

Anyone with information should call the Sheriff's Office at 323-1500.
