Rebecca Ann Lore, of Raleigh faces charges for allegedly leaving her dog locked in a hot car.

Police say 32-year-old Rebecca Ann Lore left her dog in the car for more than an hour at Cary Towne Center. The temperature inside reached nearly 140 degrees.

Lore was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor.

The dog survived and was returned to Lore.


Case Updates

A local woman arrested for locking her dog in a hot car is no longer in trouble. The district attorney dismissed the case against Rebecca Lore.

Lore was arrested in July for leaving her pet husky, Shania, inside a car at Cary Towne Center.

The dog survived and was later returned to her.
