Several felony charges were filed on June 23 against an Oklahoma City man after police reportedly busted a cockfighting operation June 7 in northeast Cleveland County.

Adrian Rodriguez Gaona, 32, was charged with owning, possessing, keeping or training a bird for fighting; instigating or encouraging cockfighting; and keeping a place, equipment or facility for cockfighting.

Police said they executed a search warrant for a residence in the 18000 block of Southeast 149th, and confiscated 61 live gamecocks or fighting chickens, 31 knife-sharp, metal fighting gaffs; several practice gaffs and large amounts of bird medication and syringes.

Some of the gaffs had been used and contained evidence of blood and feathers, police said.

Other charges filed Friday include:

John Wayne Lammie, 28, Norman, knowingly concealing stolen property;

Tonya Sue Vaughn, 33, Oklahoma City, uttering a forged instrument; knowingly concealing stolen property;

Jerry Wayne Miles, 43, Norman, embezzlement;

Tanya Lynn Wallace, 53, Oklahoma City, knowingly concealing stolen property;

Amber Dawn Sizemore, 18, Oklahoma City, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute;

Russell D. Newville, 53, Lexington, indecent exposure;

Christopher Michael Smith, 26, Norman, domestic abuse, after former conviction of a felony;

Matthew James Cody, 21, Blanchard, first-degree burglary;

Jack Stanley Benson, 51, address unknown, uttering a forged instrument;

Billy Joe Hutchison, 68, Oklahoma City, actual physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated;

Wesley Lynn Powell, 22, Newcastle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle;

Michael Loren Andrews, 30, Norman, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Adrian Rodriguez Gaona is scheduled to go to court today. Gaona, 32, Oklahoma City was arrested June 7 when police reportedly busted a cockfighting operation in the 18000 block of Southeast 149th. Police said they confiscated 61 live gamecocks or fighting chickens, 31 knife-sharp, metal fighting gaffs; several practice gaffs and large amounts of bird medication and syringes.
