A woman was charged with cruelty to animals after leaving a puppy without water or air in a vehicle.
On the afternoon of June 25, a shopper in the Wal-Mart parking lot saw a puppy in a green Ford Taurus who appeared to be overheated.
According to police she had a Wal-Mart employee page the owner of the dog while she went to get water for the animal. According to the witness, after numerous pages the woman did not respond.
Police were called to the scene, found the owner and charged her with cruelty to animals for leaving the puppy in a car on a 82-degree day. References « More cases in Douglas County, KS
