Several horses from a Loxahatchee ranch are now in the custody of Animal Care and Control.
Officers say the animals were being neglected by their owner.

On June 17, 2006, nine horses were confiscated from a facility on "B" road after someone tipped off investigators. Nine of the 29 horses boarded there were seized.

According to investigators, the owner of the facility could not provide paperwork concerning the care of the horses. A court date for the owner is pending.
