A man has been arrested on animal cruelty charges following an investigation by Marion County Code Enforcement.

County officials seized three adult pit bulls and four puppies from Albert Hall, 32, on June 8. A warrant alleged that the animals were malnourished, were not properly sheltered and were in poor health. Two other puppies had been removed four days earlier when officials decided they were extremely emaciated.

They were placed with a rescue group for treatment and rehabilitation, according to a press release issued by the county.

Hall, of 6663 N.W. 60th St., was arrested June 15. He posted a $1,000 surety bond and was released from the Marion County Jail, according to the sheriff's Web site.
