Police said they have identified a suspect in a carjacking that led to the death of a police dog, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Ernesto Imperial-Ramos, 36, jumped from the Kino Parkway overpass onto Barraza-Aviation Parkway on May 27 while being pursued by Miko, police said. The dog jumped after him, police said, and was so badly injured he had to be euthanized.
Imperial-Ramos is described as having a tattoo of boxing gloves on his right shoulder.
A felony arrest warrant charging him with criminal damage and a misdemeanor warrant charging animal cruelty were issued. Anyone with information about Imperial-Ramos is asked to dial 911 or 88-CRIME. References |
