Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
Police said they are investigating a case in which two dogs were thrown over the side of a bridge. The dogs survived in the on the June 8 evening incident, according to a statement from authorities.
A motorist told police he was traveling north on the U.S. 29 Expressway near the Little Creek Road overpass when he saw an object thrown over the side of the bridge. He told police that a second object was thrown and nearly hit his vehicle when he realized that two dogs had been thrown.
The driver turned around and found that the two dogs were still alive. They were taken to the Danville Area Humane Society.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the humane society at 434-799-5306 or police at 434-793-0000.
