A disturbing case of animal cruelty in Ottawa County leaves the local humane society scrambling for help. There are fourteen dogs at the shelter tonight; a facility that was already overcrowded.
They were seized from a Clay Township property on Holts-Harrigan Road over the weekend.
We're told there are still some dogs, horses, rabbits, and goats on the property. Those animals are under the observation of the Humane Society and being checked by local vets.
No one was living on the property with the animals and no charges have been filed yet.
