Ten pit bulls were found inside a hot truck on June 12. Officials said they found the truck in the 3600 block of Murworth Drive near Stella Link Road after a resident called because he heard noises coming from the box truck.

Police said the dogs had food inside the truck, but no water.

There were a few holes in the box truck to allow air inside. Officials said the dogs appeared to be malnourished.

Officials said these dogs might be connected to another scene where they found abandoned birds.

The Houston SPCA is now taking care of the dogs and the birds.

Police are looking for the persons responsible for abandoning the animals.
