Phoenix police are investigating another shocking case of animal cruelty after a dog was found burned to death.

A spokeswoman for the Arizona Humane Society says the male pit bull mix was found with a blue nylon collar near Indian School Road and 99th Avenue.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the dog was alive at the time of the burning.

A reward of up to five-thousand dollars is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
