The Wake County Sheriff's Office charged a Holly Springs man June 1 with abandoning two horses and leaving one malnourished.
Robert Bullock of 6412 Sarrucca Court has been charged with two counts of abandonment of animals and one count of cruelty to animals, according to arrest warrants filed June 1 at the Wake County Magistrate's Office.
Authorities accused Bullock of abandoning a dun gelding and a black gelding at 813 Wilbon Road in Holly Springs, court records show.
Bullock told court officials that he had prepaid someone to take care of the horses while he was out of town, court records show.
