A�student at Highlands Ranch High School threw a rabbit across the gymnasium at a pep rally, breaking its legs and paralyzing it. The rabbit was later destroyed.

Bryan Lupton, the senior who threw the rabbit, was suspended for the rest of the year, banned from attending graduation and kicked off the baseball team. He also was charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
