A 21-year-old Sylmar man has been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly leaving his Chihuahua in the gutter after it was hit by a car. Endy Vasquez will be arraigned April 25th in Superior Court and could face up to six months in jail and a 20-thousand dollar fine if convicted.
The dog was found November 11th and investigators eventually identified Vasquez as the owner.
Vasquez acknowledged that he removed the dog's collar and left her to die. The dog, Princess, survived and will be available for adoption after Vasquez's case is settled. References |
