As a result of information that ASAIRS (Animal Sexual Abuse Information and Resource Site) provided to Indianapolis City Officials, Indianapolis Police searched and seized over 300 pornographic tapes from the trailer of Loran Jay Adams of the 4400 block of Red Birch Dr. on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. The search also led to an arrest for marijuana possession and felony possession of a firearm.

It is stated that "Indianapolis Police Detective Stephen Burke said authorities will file charges against Adams next week involving the display or the distribution of obscene material, Class A misdemeanors." The article also states that Police took Adams' Great Dane mix, Tyson, from his home over concerns that Mr. Adam's Internet site purports to sell dogs.

ASAIRS states that Adams posted messages relating to the following on beastiality websites.  (These sites/postings are no longer working):

That indeed he claimed he had a dog "that was trained for sexual acts with male or female humans," he also claimed that he had a Great Dane that he would allow others to have "in person fun with," and of the many pornographic videos he had for trade and sale (including bestial pornography).

His prior website contained the information on videos he sold, how to buy them and contact information of the seller (Adams).

ASAIRS learned that Tyson, the Great Dane, is now with animal control and attempts will be made to get an order to turn over Tyson to a rescue group for neutering and placement.

Adams denied that he made any of the tapes and said he considers himself a businessman who caters to a niche audience. He said no one was forced to do anything.

As a convicted felon, Adams is prohibited from having a handgun. He's also charged with possession of marijuana. Adams is jailed on $5,000 bond.

Investigators said they expect to file additional misdemeanor charges of distributing obscene material. If convicted, Adams could be sentenced up to one year in jail.
