Acting on a Crime Stopper�s tip, Milam County Sheriff�s investigators have arrested an adult and a juvenile in connection with the slaughter of about 90 turkeys on a farm in Buckholts, Milam County Sheriff Charlie West said.

Someone used a sharp weapon to kill the turkeys Saturday night or Sunday morning at the Hillview Turkey Farms off County Road 205. The owner of the farm discovered the dead turkeys Sunday morning. All of the birds were about 12 weeks old. Several more injured turkeys were found on Monday.

The juvenile was ordered held at the Rockdale Juvenile Detention Center. A criminal complaint is pending against the adult and authorities expect to obtain a warrant for the arrest of a third suspect.
