An animal welfare officer in Oklahoma City has been fired after being arrested on a complaint of abusing a dog at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.

Shane Wilson is accused of kicking a sedated dog in the face.

Catherine English with the city's animal welfare division says witnesses claim Wilson shoved the dog's head into the floor and wall and used unneccessary and abusive force.
