Charges are pending against three people for allegedly arranging cockfights at a home in Upper Marlboro. Prince George's County police went to the home on March 20, 2006 and seized more than 50 hens and roosters, authorities said. They also confiscated items used to promote cockfighting.

The three suspects could be charged with cruelty to animals. If convicted, each person faces up to three years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
