Person of Interest: Beth Lutz
A U.S. Department of Agriculture administrative law judge has found Beth Lutz of Houston, Mo., guilty of violating the Animal Welfare Act. "Lutz sold at least 284 dogs without a license and got caught. Now, she will never be allowed to obtain a license under the AWA."
In this case, Lutz was fined $5,000 and is permanently disqualified from becoming licensed under the AWA. The fine is suspended providing she never violates the AWA again.
