Pinellas Park, Florida - Pinellas County deputies, Pinellas Park Police and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took 35 dogs from a one-bedroom home on 105th Terrace North. The agencies collected 35 dogs while attempting to locate the resident of the home. The animals are in the SPCA"s custody and will receive treatment at their shelter.

Deputies say the property was in significant disarray and the dogs were in various stages of neglect. The animals were living in filth and eating rotting food. The owner of the dogs is Johanna Gaviola. Deputies took her into custody under the Baker Act.

Deputies will continue the investigation and consult with the State Attorney concerning criminal charges.
