A Spartanburg County woman faces animal cruelty charges. Investigators said they found 93 animals inside the woman's mobile home in Duncan.
Animal control staff said they worked into the night on May 4 to examine the animals and May 5, those exams continue.
Investigators said they seized 60 guinea pigs, 18 cats, seven dogs, five puppies and three rabbits.
"It's always sad to see animals in bad conditions," said Sandy Christiansen of the Spartanburg Animal Shelter and Humane Society. "We're just happy that Animal Control went out and dealt with the situation and brought them here so we can get them back up to health."
Rhonda Auliky, 47, is charged with three counts of cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor in Spartanburg County that carries a $465 fine for each count, investigators said. References« SC State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Spartanburg County, SC
