A woman reported finding the severed head and paws of her dog on the morning of April 26 in the front yard of her north Stockton home. The woman was awakened by the barking of her two dogs early that morning and called for the animals to come into the house, in the 9600 block of Bowie Way, according to the Stockton Police Department.

When only one dog appeared, she looked outside and saw her second dog being driven away in a vehicle, police said. Shortly after 7 a.m., she discovered the head of the dog and its four paws in her front yard, according to police. No suspect information was available.
