Police in Kissimmee, Fla., are searching for several men in connection with the shooting death of a 26-year-old and his pet dog, according to local news.

Investigators said Anthony Montanino, 26, was shot to death at about 9 a.m. on April 15 in the breezeway at the Villa Del Sol condominiums at 2212 Grand Cayman Ct. in Kissimmee, Fla.

Residents said they saw Montanino's girlfriend screaming over his body after hearing popping noises.

"I got dressed and came down out of my apartment and started to head over this way because I could see a young lady on the third-floor balcony apartment up there hysterical and screaming," resident Janet Kirbis said.

When officers arrived, they found Montanino and his pet dog had been shot.

"We did locate an individual, a victim, dead on scene of apparent gun shot wounds," Kissimmee police spokesman Ralph Herrera said.

"There were two unidentified black males with short haircuts, wearing long black T-shirts, seen fleeing the area on foot," Herrera said.

Kissimmee police were searching for a dark-colored Honda with shiny rims.

A police report said investigators also located illegal drugs inside the apartment, though the type, quantity, and location inside the condominium was not released.
