The Butler County dog warden and investigators will go door to door April 6 in hopes of solving one of the worst animal cruelty cases he's ever seen.

Children found the body of an abused dog in the creek that flows under Walnut Grove Road near State Route 126 near Shandon, in Butler County's Morgan Township.

The Butler County acting dog warden says the abuse was so bad, he can't even tell what kind of dog it is.

He says its legs were bound and most of its body was skinned.
