A Princeton man is facing animal cruelty charges for allegedly beating two pit bulls with a blunt object. One of the animals was beaten so severely one of its eyes was beaten out of the eye socket.

Michael Allen Tate, 30, of Madison Avenue, Princeton was arrested. Authorities said the alleged incidents occurred last month. Tate was not the owner of the dogs that he allegedly injured.
