17 neglected horses removed from farm

A six month ongoing investigation in conjunction with the Liberty County Constable's Office, resulted in the Houston SPCA Cruelty Investigation Team seizing 17 horses this afternoon in Liberty County. The horses were seized based on general neglect and lack of food, water and shelter. Some of the horses also suffer from medical conditions. The horses will be housed and cared for by the SPCA.

The horses are being brought back to the Houston SPCA where they will be temporarily housed until a court appearance for custody has been set.
