A warrant served at a home in the Bonedelle Ranchos uncovered half a pound of methamphetamine, 42 marijuana plants, and more than 12 fighting roosters, the sheriff's department reported.

Agents also confiscated a handgun.

Agents served the warrant 7 a.m. March 25 at a home on John Alvert Drive. Adrian Leon, 29, and Tisha Soliz, 24, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance for the intent of sale, cultivation of marijuana, possession for sale, and possessing a firearm in the commission of a drug-related felony, sheriff's spokeswoman Erica Smith said.

Inside the home, narcotics agents with the county's MADNET team found what Smith called a "highly sophisticated, indoor garden complete with air filters, grow lights, timers and an elaborate watering system."

"Had the marijuana made it to the streets, it would have netted ... $126,000," Smith said.

The methamphetamine was valued at about $6,000.

Leon and Soliz also face animal cruelty charges because agents believe they were involved in illegal cock fighting, Smith said.

Leon and Soliz were booked into the county jail and are being held in lieu of $1 million bail each.
