The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the killing of a 3-year-old female Pit Bull mix dog. The dog was found March 18, 2006 with her legs bound with duct tape near railroad tracks behind 317 LaGrange Avenue in Rochester.
A necropsy performed by vets at the Humane Society determined that the dog died from wounds inflicted by another dog. The dog was dead before being bound with duct tape. Investigators say it appears the dog may have been used a practice dog for fighting dogs. Anyone with information is asked to call the Humane Society�s Animal Cruelty Hotline at (585) 223-6500. Case UpdatesThe Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of a female pit bull mix in Rochester on or about March 18.
According to the Humane Society of Rochester and Monroe County, a young pit bull mix was found dead near the railroad tracks on LaGrange Avenue in Rochester on March 18. The dog's legs were bound with duct tape. A necropsy performed by the society's veterinarians indicated that the dog may have died from wounds inflicted by another dog. Investigators believe that the dog was used as a "practice" animal for dog fighting.
